Victoria Park

Victoria Park is one of Truro's greatest assets - a natural woodland park of roughly 400 acres in the centre of town. Lepper Brook, with its two sets of waterfalls, flows through a steep tree covered rocky gorge. Several walking trails follow along the brook allowing a close view of this unique setting.

Fossil Hunting

Showcase Nova Scotia museum features an innovative combination of audio and visual effects that will thrill and entertain the explorer in everyone. There is also a sandbox where children can dig for fossils and look for hidden treasure. Then sit back and enjoy a 10-minute film highlighting the beauty of Nova Scotia. Also, outside, an 18-hole mini-golf provides fun for the young and old alike.

The Tidal Bore

The world famous Tidal Bore, the worlds fastest rising tides, amazing as it fills the riverbed against the current, and quite quickly as well.

Little White Schoolhouse

An authentic early 1900's one room schoolhouse, complete with furnishings and relics from the era.

Golf fans will be happy to know that there are several full 18 hole golf courses to choose from in the immediate vicinity.
